দিন তারিখ দেখার জন্য আমরা যে ক্যালেন্ডার ব্যবহার করি তাতে মাসের সংখ্যা ১২ , আর বিশ্বে এমন একটি দেশ আছে যে দেশের ক্যালেন্ডারে মাসের সংখ্যা ১৩, অদ্ভুদ এই দেশটির নাম ইথিওপিয়া ।

বিংশ শতাব্দী পর্যন্ত ইথিওপিয়া আবিসিনিয়া নামে পরিচিত ছিল ।
ইথিওপিয়ার জনসংখ্যা ১১ কোটির কাছাকাছি ।

দেশটির আয়তন প্রায় ১১,২৭,১২৭ বর্গকিলোমিটার যা প্রায় ৮টি বাংলাদেশের আয়তনের সমান ।

ইথিওপিয়ার রাজধানী এবং বৃহ্ত্তম শহর আদ্দিস আবাবা ।

ইথিওপিয়া গোটা বিশ্বের থেকে ৭ বছর ৩ মাস পিছিয়ে । সেই দেশে এখনো ২০১৩ সাল চলছে !
