Downtown Sarajevo | Bosnia and Herzegovina 2024 [4K]

Join me as I walk through the centre of Sarajevo on a quiet, brisk and fresh summer's morning, on my way to Sarajevo main train station. Along the way, we'll see more of the city, out with the Old Town area, including, modern shopping centres, nice open plazas, lush green parks, and a fine mix of architecture! The walk will also take us along part of what became infamously known during the Siege of Sarajevo as, 'Sniper Alley' (1992 - 1996), as we see the Hotel Holiday building, it's distinct yellow exterior becoming a common sight on news broadcasts during the years of the Siege - A very moving experience to see up close.

This video was filmed as I made my way to Sarajevo main train station, from the Stari Grad (Old Town) area, to catch a train from Sarajevo to Mostar. If you are planning on visiting Sarajevo and considering a trip to Mostar via the train, I'd highly recommend walking the 30/35 minute journey from the Old Town area. The walk will allow you to see downtown Sarajevo and appreciate this wonderfully diverse city all the more!
