Chain Snatching Incident in Sakchi: Woman Robbed of ₹40,000 and Gold Earrings

Jamshedpur: A brazen chain snatching incident took place in Sakchi near the old court premises on Sunday night. Radhika Devi, a resident of Sonari, was robbed of her purse containing ₹40,000 cash, two gold earrings, and a mobile phone by two bike-borne miscreants.

According to Radhika Devi, the incident occurred when she was returning home from her parents' place in Mangobadi around evening. As she was walking towards her home, the miscreants swiftly snatched her purse and sped away.

The victim raised an alarm, and nearby people rushed to her aid, but the culprits had already escaped. The incident has been reported to the police, who are investigating the case and reviewing CCTV footage from nearby cameras.

This incident is part of a recent surge in thefts and chain snatchings in Jamshedpur and surrounding areas, raising concerns about public safety.
