Dr. James Taylor is the co-director of the Sandra Atlas Bass Heart Hospital where he is also a cardiothoracic surgeon. The Sandra Atlas Bass Heart Hospital – located at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset and part of Northwell—is home to one of New York’s largest and most successful heart programs. Led by a nationally renowned team, the hospital has consistently received impressive awards for our heart care. The cardiac program is one of only two in the U.S. and Canada recognized for top performance in all areas of open heart surgery by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), and has also been rated top 5% in the nation for cardiac surgery by Healthgrades. At the Heart Hospital, Dr. Taylor’s cardiac surgical experience includes coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, thoracic aortic disease, and minimally invasive cardiac surgery.
