Dan + Shay dropped this new song today! It was by far my favorite new song today, so of course, I had to make my own cover!

What makes it Spicy?

For the most part, I tried to stay true to the song. This led me to keep a very simple guitar feel, while holding down the chords but still continuing the bass note that is present throughout.

During the chorus, I reharmonizes the last line by doing a 2 - 5 - 1 into the “Oooo” section!

As always, instead of using generic open chord voicings, I instead used more complex shapes that give the song more energy and life. An example would be the first chord, the Amin. Instead of a normal Amin shape, I chose to either play a Amin7(add11), Amin9, or Amin13. This goes for all the chords in the song. Take a look and notice I don’t use a single open voicing (maybe I did once, but wither way, its not common).
