"Rap Sheet" Ep. 1 | Juvenile Prison Documentary | Teenagers' First Day Inside

In this video we take a more specific look at what it means to have a "rap sheet" and how juvenile crime often begins at a tragically young age. This video looks back at the story of two brothers who were arrested and brought into detention after police identified them as part of a group that had been stealing from cars. As the brothers were brought into the detention center in handcuffs, staff learn quickly that this isn't the first time the older brother had been behind bars. Probation Intake Supervisor Debbie also realizes the tragic story behind the boys' family life, and the traumatic event that seemed to start older brother Kenneth's downward slide. Scenes in this video also include interviews with a juvenile prison superintendent, and the shower-in process that all teens go through once they're arrested and assessed before being placed in the cells.

UPDATE: Later in life, younger brother Kenneth was arrested for robbery and spent time in adult prison. Older brother Kenneth never had another brush with the law.
