SR25 | KAC M110 SASS | AR10 | Polarstar Kythera HPA Build Part 1: Everything is Fine

This is the story of how I went about rebuilding this SR25 from basically scratch.


I found this frame for 50 locally. It was HPA'd but the previous owner put the wolverine into a smaller M4. I decided to rebuild the SR25/AR10/M110 back - first i looked into finding new parts but quickly realized that i'd spend over 200 dollars on rebuilding the gearbox... This is the story of how I went about it.

Tools Used:


-Hex Bits Set
-3mm for most gearbox screws
-0.05" for the grub screws in the kythera trigger assembly
-Drill Bit 2.5mm
-3mm tapping bit
-Philips screwdriver (a 6" or longer recommended for butt-stock screws)
-Flat head screwdriver
-Dremel and assorted bits (not sure of the names)
-large round sanding (sanding down)
-wire wheel (sanding / polishing)
- round cutting wheel (to cut down the spring guide for the hose to fit easily)
-clamps
-heat gun
-Teflon tape
