Hello Friends,
Today we are going to Panchet Dam, Murguma Dam, Visit Ajodhya Hills.
Our route is Dankuni, Bardwan, Asansol, Panchet Dam.
Early Morning we start journey around 4:30 am.
Upto Asansol road condition is good. After Asansol to Panchet Dam road is not so good.
We reach Panchet entry point at 9:30 A.M. Garpanchokot hill is beside the dam. You can stay in WBTDC guest house in Garpanchokot. Advance booking require to stay.
From Panchet dam we start journey to Murguma dam which is in Ajodhya hill, you have to go through Purulia town then Damda More then Murguma Dam. But we decide to avoid purulia town fom jam. We took right turn from Gurguria. Road is good, this road merge with Purulia-ranchi road. Purulia- ranchi road condition is very bad in several places due to construction job. After merging in Purulia-ranchi road 15-20 km is bad after that road is good. You can go through Jhalda, Bengunkodar. But we take a shortcut, road was not good.
We stay at night in Palash Bitan which is beside Murguma Dam. Here you can come with advance booking or Spot booking. Fooding facility is there. You have to depend on them because there is no other option for food, if you want to take food from out side then you have to go Begunkodar town which is near about 10 km distance from Palash Bitan.
Next morning we check out Palash Bitan. Then we decide visit several places in Ajodhya hill and go back home. We visit Marbel lake, Bamni falls, Upper Dam, Hill top. Road condition is good in Ajodhya Hills. Scenic beauty is fabulous. Due to “Sarat kal” cloud is like “Peja tula/cotton” and sky is blue.
We took lunch in a hotel in Hill top. From there we start journey to Kolkata with sweet memories.
We took route Purulia town then Bankura then Ranigunj then Kolkata. This road condition is good.
You can go in this season/ Durga Puja .
My suggestion is, You come by your own vehicle not public transport and carry your paper plate for food (avoid hotel food plate) and other sanitization material and drinking water. Nothing to worry because, our residential area, bazar and sabji mandi are more crowded than these sea beaches. Take the fresh air at forest and the loneliness are really beautiful which you have never seen.
