As of Feb 19 noon, 77 stay-home notices have been issued to travellers returning to Singapore from mainland China. The new measure applies to Singapore residents and long-term pass holders who have been to mainland China but outside Hubei in the last 14 days. Those from Hubei are quarantined. The stay-home notice is stricter than leave of absence. Those who are issued the notice cannot leave their homes at all for 14 days, even to buy food and other essentials. Singaporeans who flout the rule could be fined up to $10,000 and jailed for six months, for a first offence. Foreigners could have their long-term passes revoked.
