Russian River Falls Hike
4.6 miles out and back from the Lower Russian Lakes Trail, Chugach National Forest.

Trail is located inside the Russian River Campground, Cooper Landing, Alaska. - Milepost 52 of the Sterling Highway.

Easy hike / nature walk to beautiful waterfalls along the Russian River and during the salmon run (mid-June / July) you will see salmon leap up the waterfall; We were there just before. This is a very family friendly hike; we saw lots of little kids having a great time running the opposite way in the rain...

Parking at the trail-head was limited and we got lucky as the rain was causing people to leave as we were heading to the falls.

Be Bear Aware and keep an eye out, especially during the salmon runs.

Note: Day Pass may be required when you enter the campground area.
