Canada's East Coast Trail | We did not expect this! 😮

We were forced to hustle!

Renée found an insane seat sale for only $300 return and it didn't take long for us to make up our minds to go check in on the East Coast Trail.

It's a trail that had been on our radar for a few years but one that would likely have fallen outside of our top 5.

We booked our flights, studied the maps, worked on the logistics, and just two short weeks later, landed in St. John's Newfoundland.

And boy, were we surprised by what the East Coast Trail dished up. Sure, there was the expected beauty of this coastline and all the coastal sights you might expect, but we didn't expect the challenges it had in store.

Our focus was the southern section heading NOBO to St. John's. All told it was about 150 km and just over 5000m of elevation gain across some very rugged terrain.
