“Faith in Faith” – George Logothetis on Faith, Hope & Leadership at 2024 Concordia Annual Summit

At the 2024 Concordia Annual Summit in New York City, George Logothetis, Executive Chairman of Libra Group, Chairman of Libra Philanthropies, and Co-Chair of Concordia’s Leadership Council, delivered an inspiring opening keynote speech titled, "Faith in Faith."

During his address, George reflected on Concordia’s conception and 14-year evolution into a global forum that brings together individuals from around the world, all while remaining true to its founding principles and “serving as a fountain of ideas conceived in optimism.”

George also shared his experience from a recent visit to FLOGA, a Greek nonprofit organization supporting young children who are battling cancer, where he was deeply moved by the children’s joyful spirit, which filled the space with great faith. He remarked, “Hope is a state of mind and faith is a state of soul. It is faith that is thus the bedrock; you cannot have hope without first having faith.” He further underscored that with hope, “kindness can flourish in the wake of pain, where and when there is love, leadership and community.” Reminding the audience that nothing of value comes easily, he stressed that “failure only occurs when one stops trying, and defeat only comes when one stops fighting.”

Stating, "for further the arc of humankind’s progress we do not without striving for ideas and ideals." George encouraged the audience to summon the ideas ignited at Concordia, gather perspective and appreciation, and, most importantly, keep “faith in faith.”
