Chocolate cake is a cake flavored with melted chocolate, cocoa powder, or both.

Learn how to make a delicious, mouth watering Eggless Pure Chocolate Cake without Oven!!!:)

Note:- Good quality ingredients is key to the success of this recipe

Ingredients:-

For the Chocolate Sponge:-

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup buttermilk
4 tbsp olive oil/ any unflavored oil
1/2 cup milk
3/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp vinegar
1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Creamy Chocolate Frosting:-

1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract

Method:-

Preparation of Chocolate Sponge Cake:-

Sift 1 cup all-purpose flour(maida), 1/4 cup cocoa powder and 1 tsp baking powder

Mix well the sifted dry ingredients

Add in 1/2 cup buttermilk and 4 tbsp olive oil and mix well

Add in 3/4 tsp baking soda, 3/4 tsp vinegar and 1 tsp vanilla extract and mix well

Mix well

The cake batter should be of dropping consistency

Grease a 7 inch cake tin with oil

Dust cake tin with some flour

Invert cake tin and tap it to remove excess flour

Pour prepared cake batter into tin

Tap cake tin to remove air bubbles


Baking of Cake:-

Turn on gas and put it on lowest flame

Place a large utensil lined with a packet of salt and a stand placed above the salt bed

Preheat for 15 mins

Place cake tin in preheated utensil

Bake the cake for around 25-35 minutes

Insert toothpick to check whether cake has been fully baked

Run a knife through the edges of the cake to unmould it

Invert the cake tin and remove cake on plate

Refrigerate cake for around 2 hours


Preparation of Creamy Chocolate Frosting:-

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1/3 cup powdered sugar

1 tbsp cocoa powder

1 tsp vanilla extract

Beat cream till stiff peaks


Levelling, Assembling and Decoration of Cake:-

Place the refrigerated cake on a turn table

Level off the top of the cake and cut it in 2 halves using a sharp serrated knife

Soak each layer of cake with plain water/ sugar syrup to moisten it

Ice each layer of cake with the prepared chocolate frosting

Smoothen the icing using a dough scraper

Fill a piping bag fitted with a star tip with the prepared chocolate frosting

Pipe some rosettes on the top of the cake

Similarly pipe some rosettes on the bottom of the cake

Delicious Pure Eggless Chocolate Cake is now absolutely ready... :)
