Dear Lord,
As I move along my day today, I know to calm my thoughts, keep those negative at bay or transmute what I can. When working in the world, it is hard to sit still and be with you in the silence. That is so badly needed within every one of your children today. If there were enough time to wake, journal and spend one on one time with you before we even place our feet upon the floor, it would be a better day for us all. If I tried to do that, with getting up with kids for school at 5 am I would have to be up by 2 am which is impossible to do when I finally crawled in bed after 11 pm the night before. I truly believe that lack of sleep is what is causing illnesses, obesity and mental health issues in your people today. Everyone is on the run dealing with high emotions and stress most of the day. And your presence, rest, grounding and peace is what the body needs to sooth and heal itself. Just like the movie Pretty Woman, the guy walked around in the grass in bare feet to feel better. The truth is being shown but are we taking note of it or are we too busy, stressed and pushed to the limit to notice. With food prices, clothing costs and taking time to figure out new math to help our children, most household require 2 incomes to even make it. Older folks planning to retire are faced with high insurance, medical and prescription costs, not to mention the retirement age moving again.
I know you have said in the Bible to come out of her, meaning the world and their thoughts and ways. That takes a lot of faith LORD not to mention those who are married to spouses not seeking you yet. That gives opening to arguments of staying home and trusting you to provide. Yes Lord, that takes a lot of faith and I know that faith means you cannot see where your foot lands or what will hold you up. Give us all the strength and faith we need to do these things. To release ourselves from the world prison and move forward in you. Whisper in our ears at night so our souls know the way even if our waking brain does not. Show us Lord, in ways only you can that provides strength we need. Thank you, Lord.
[Verse 1]
Morning comes too early, Lord,
And my mind begins to race.
I try to find the quiet place
Where I can rest in You.
Life is moving fast again,
And peace is hard to hold.
But I know You’re in the stillness,
Calling me back home.
[Chorus]
So whisper in our ears at night,
Guide our souls toward Your light.
When the world feels loud and heavy,
Be the strength we cannot see.
Lord, we’re tired, but You are near—
Whisper in our ears.
[Verse 2]
People running everywhere,
Hearts worn down by fear and strain.
Bodies breaking under burdens
We were never meant to bear.
You said, “Come out from the world,”
But faith is hard to find.
Help us trust the unseen path
And leave our fears behind.
[Chorus]
So whisper in our ears at night,
Guide our souls toward Your light.
When the world feels loud and heavy,
Be the strength we cannot see.
Lord, we’re tired, but You are near—
Whisper in our ears.
[Bridge]
Teach us how to rest again,
How to breathe and just be still.
Break the chains we made in worry,
Lead us back into Your will.
[Final Chorus]
Whisper in our ears at night,
Guide our souls toward Your light.
Lift us when the road is weary,
Hold us close and keep us steady.
Lord, we’re tired, but You are near—
Whisper in our ears.
