Описание к видео Mind matters | Khurshed Batliwala | TEDxIITGandhinagar

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. We all realise the extent that mind matters in our lives. Khurshed Batliwala elaborates the way it frames our perception of the outside world and the 5 states it resides in namely - pramana (seeking proof), viparyaya (justifying deeds with false knowledge), vikalpa (manipulating self with options), nidra (sleep), smriti (memory). He also signifies the power of a calm and peaceful mind.

A postgraduate in Mathematics from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Khurshed Batliwala chose an unconventional and challenging path of becoming a faculty member of Art of Living. He is the director of WAYE (World Alliance for Youth Empowerment), an NGO working to provide sustainable solutions to contemporary issues faced by young people of our times. He conducts compelling workshops on a broad spectrum of subjects, from youth empowerment to Mathemagic (a workshop which shows how maths is fun) and from a financial literary workshop to an introductory workshop on western classical music.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
