Episode 121

Marble Madness was a revolutionary game in the arcade, and was the first major project from Mark Cerny, who would go on to be the producer of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and the lead architect for the PlayStation 4.

Marble Madness was the first arcade game to be programmed in C, and the first to feature true Stereo sound. It's hard to believe that this game came out in 1984 - It was way ahead of its time!

So how did this game find its way onto the NES? In today's episode we'll find out, and then we'll dive deep into the gameplay where we'll learn:

* The best way to complete ALL SIX treacherous courses!

* How to perform the HOT DROP on the Intermediate Race!

* SPLIT SCREEN demonstrations of alternate paths - Which way is faster?

* How to finish the Practice Race in only 5 seconds!

* The secret of the SILLY SKIP!

* How do the MAGIC WANDS work? We'll find out!

* All about the SECRET WATER MAZE from other versions of the game!

* How to survive THE MOVING MAZE... AND MORE!

Thanks for watching!
