GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan conducted an inspection of the Phase-2 Shilpa Layout Flyover works, stretching from Malkam Cheruvu, Gachibowli to Kondapur, under the Serilingampally zone. He also reviewed the proposed site for the upcoming flyover and underpass at Khajaguda Junction, taken up under the H-City project.

During his visit to Malkam Cheruvu, walkers brought to his attention issues related to sanitation and stray dogs. Responding promptly, the Commissioner instructed the officials to coordinate with local organizers to resolve the problems and ensure a disturbance-free environment for walkers.

The Commissioner questioned the officials regarding the source of stormwater entering Malkam Cheruvu. Officials explained that the runoff was coming from Durgam Cheruvu and surrounding residential areas. He directed them to implement necessary measures to prevent stormwater from flowing into the lake.

While inspecting the flyover works at Shilpa Layout, he emphasized that the construction should be completed by the end of this month. Project engineers informed him that the service road can be finished once land acquisition is completed. In response, the Commissioner instructed the zonal commissioner to expedite the land acquisition process.

Accompanying the Commissioner were Zonal Commissioner B. Hemanth Sahadev Rao, Deputy Commissioner Prashanthi, SE Balaji, Project EE Namya Nayaki, DEE Harish, and UBD Director Venkateshwarlu, among others. Notably, the Commissioner personally walked along the flyover to assess the progress of the ongoing works.
