The Dow Jones closed down on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, along with the S&P 500 and Russell 2000, while the Nasdaq-100 ended higher. Five out of the eleven S&P 500 sectors closed higher today, with communication services, utilities, and consumer staples leading the way. Credit Suisse (CS) falls to an all-time low, taking European bank stocks with it after the Saudi National Bank said it won't be able to give further financial assistance to CS. This news also sent crude oil (/CL) sliding to the lowest level since December 2021. Adobe (ADBE) rallied postmarket after beating estimates for both earnings and sales, reporting record revenue.
