Storm Debby remnants swamp Montreal neighbourhood, residents blame city for flooding

The remnants of tropical storm Debby battered southern Quebec on Friday, leaving a mess in its wake.

One street in Pierrefonds was hit especially hard, with the basements of some residents swamped with seven feet of flooding.

Despite the exceptional amount of rain, residents are laying the blame squarely with the city. They say their street could have been saved, if it had been built differently.
