Driving the Burr Trail in Utah (Switchbacks and More)

Описание к видео Driving the Burr Trail in Utah (Switchbacks and More)

We took the Burr Trail starting at the switchbacks at the Notom-Bullfrog Road. I captured footage of the entire trail and edited it to provide only the most scenic and exciting sections of the trail. My wife, Jessica, drove the entire length (66 miles) of the trail, allowing me to film the drive. Great job Jessica on a tough twisty road with tight turns!

The drive takes you past Singing Canyon, which is located about 11 miles from Boulder with a pull out on the north side of the road. We will post a separate video of this scenic slot canyon so as not to distract from the stunning Burr Trail Drive.

The Burr Trail Switchbacks cut through what seems like an insurmountable wall within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Capitol Reef National Park, and Grand Staircase National Monument. It is a trail through a rough wall of rock offering exceptional and unparalleled natural beauty. It’s a drive to be remembered.

The trail was developed by John Burr to move cattle back and forth between winter and summer ranges.

Traveling on the trail takes through epic hikes like Upper Muley Twist and others in the area.

You have views of the Henry Mountains, Waterpocket Fold, Circle Cliffs and Long Canyon.
