Triple Point of Water ie. TPW is one of the most common fixed point calibration which is used for primary temperature standard to achieve lowest possible uncertainties. In the above video we are describing how a TPW cell is used for calibration of SPRT's,PRT's,RTD's and Thermocouple. The thermometer is calibrated by measurements at a series of temperature fixed points, For example freezing/melting points, triple points, vapour pressure points.
