Alfaiates Sabugal Portugal (HD)

A ALDEIA DE ALFAIATES,situa-se no concelho de Sabugal, distrito de Guarda. A origem desta povoação remonta à época pré-histórica, tendo passado para a soberania portuguesa em 1297. Percorrendo as ruas quase desertas, encontramos um vasto património arquitectónico e característico desta região com edificações em granito das quais se destacam: - as ruínas do Castelo, mandado construir por D.Dinis, junto ao largo principal, ladeado por alpendres; - o Pelourinho que se situa no largo da antiga Casa da Câmara; - a Capela da Misericórdia, datada do sec. XIII e a Igreja Matriz. A cerca de 2 Kms encontramos o Mosteiro de Sacaparte que, embora em ruínas, apresenta ainda fachadas em muito bom estado de conservação e os Alpendres de Feira que delimitam o recinto e que serviam para abrigar os romeiros. Nesta aldeia e no mês de Agosto, manda a tradição que se realize a "Capeia Arraiana" , tourada com forcão característica desta região. Vale a pena visitar, pois é mais um dos locais únicos do nosso território.*carl0spais*2013

ALFAIATES, village is located in the municipality of Sambucus, Guarda district. The origin of the town dates back to prehistoric times, having passed to the Portuguese sovereignty in 1297. Walking along the almost deserted streets we found a large architectural heritage, and characteristic of this region, granite buildings such as: the ruins of the castle, built by the King Dinis, near the main square and flanked by porches; the Pelourinho near Town Hall; the Chapel of Mercy from the 18th Century and the Mother Church. There's the Monastery of Sacaparte that though in ruins, still presents facades in very good condition and sheds Fair delimiting the enclosure and served to house of the pilgrims. In this village, and in August, tradition dictates that it is performed the "Capeia Arraiana", a bullfight with "forcão" characteristic of this region. Worth a visit as it is one of the most unique places in our territory.*carl0spais*2013.
