Cactus to Clouds - Beauty and Suffering on the World's Hardest Day Hike

Описание к видео Cactus to Clouds - Beauty and Suffering on the World's Hardest Day Hike

Cactus to Clouds is known as one of the hardest single day hikes in the world. Climbing over 10,000 feet from the desert floor of Palm Springs to the top of the looming San Jacinto Peak, hikers are faced with one of the most physically and mentally demanding trails of their lives. All along the journey, signs warn hikers of the dangers of heat exhaustion and the lack of water along the trail. If you're not prepared, they warn, TURN BACK NOW.

Will we make it to the summit, or perish in the desert heat? Join us on one of the greatest adventures of our lives to date!

Warning/Disclaimer: This hike is actually extremely dangerous, and many hikers have died on this trail. Please do not attempt this hike without proper training, water, and nutrition. It is also not advised to do this hike in the extreme heat of summer. We attempted Cactus to Clouds in mid October, when the weather in Palm Springs was at a high of 80. Most hikers also start in the middle of the night so they are at a higher, cooler altitude by the time the sun rises. Safe hikers are happy hikers!

ABOUT US:
We’re Adam and Elise, a couple who believes that adventure is the best therapy. We’ve climbed Africa’s Mt. Kilimanjaro in gale-force winds, hiked Iceland’s famed Laugavegur trail in a sleet-storm, and run through Death Valley in 130 degree heat. Through it all we’ve laughed, cried, bled, bickered, and grown ever closer as a couple. Live Hard x Love Hard will inspire you to get into the wild and outside your comfort zone. Don't forget to subscribe so you can join us on our lifelong pursuit of adventure!
