"Trav is Literally Dying Over There..." Oregon BDR Day 1, Section 1

Описание к видео "Trav is Literally Dying Over There..." Oregon BDR Day 1, Section 1

Our Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route trip didn't start off very well...

We began our journey through ORBDR section 1 in Fields, Oregon where we had to grab one of the world-famous milkshakes before setting out to cross 120 miles of desert in 90 degree heat. The Oregon BDR section 1 riding is not super difficult, but there are a lot of elevation changes and just tons of miles through the hot desert with no shade and no help if something goes wrong. Unfortunately, Our Oregon BDR motorcycle trip didn't start out on the best foot as Travis had a few issues with his GPS and ended up having to pick up and turn around his heavy Africa Twin several times, causing him to overexert himself and eventually get heat stroke (later confirmed by his doctor). We spent the second half of Day 1 of our Oregon BDR motorcycle camping trip just trying to get Travis cooled down and feeling good enough to get back on his bike and ride out of the desert.

Fortunately, we were able to complete most of ORBDR section 1 and get Travis into some shade at Hart Mountain Hot Springs campground. After some rest, water, and food he was feeling better and we set up camp hoping to get a good night's rest before taking on Oregon BDR section 2 the following morning.
