As Time Goes On: A Harry Mack Tribute

Описание к видео As Time Goes On: A Harry Mack Tribute

My Version of Harry Mack's "As Time Goes On" was born out of a deep respect for the artistry of creators like Harry Mack and TXMMYBeats. After hearing Harry’s version, I knew I had to make a version of my own to this beat from TXMMYBeats.

Harry;s version:
   • Harry Mack - As Time Goes On (Officia...

Harry's lyrics, when I first heard them a month ago, really dove into the reality of life at this stage and facing unexpected challenges:

** Discovering a pituitary tumor that had been growing silently - I now know had been growing for over a decade.
** Grappling with feelings of disconnect from God, creativity, and my inner self.
** Reconnecting through music.

I've been learning to reconnect with the parts of me that really bring a higher level of meaning to life, whether that’s freestyling like Harry Mack, playing the piano again, or pushing through the physical grind of literally chopping wood.

Lyrical Highlights: My Story in Verse
In this rap, I’m sharing my struggles and my hope for the future. Here are some lines that stand out to me—and I hope they’ll resonate with you too:

"Connecting to God had become like a drought / Til I got a scan and then I found out / About a tumor, a block in my brain…"
That moment when life forces you to stop and take stock. Often, health challenges are the catalyst for deeper connection.

"12 years in a kind of desert / Tryin' to hold on…"
Capturing going through the motions of life, feeling like something’s missing but not knowing what it is or how to get it back.

"If a tree falls in the forest and no one's there / How is anyone ever made aware?"
A reflection on the quantum physics understanding that we create consensus reality through observation, action, thought, feeling, and Intention.

"Creators we are each in our own right / Spent so much of my life feeling I had to fight…"
Creativity and meditation... neither have to be a battle. They can be a flow, a connection, a gift.

The Power of Inspiration
Harry Mack didn’t just inspire me to write this rap; watching him demonstrate his craft inspires me to reconnect with myself. When I don’t want to do the work... whether that’s the next pushup, the next piano exercise, or the next rap verse, I find myself thining about Harry’s dedication to his craft and the mastery he demonstrates.

When I see Harry freestyle, I’m reminded of what’s possible when you put in the reps, embrace the process, and trust the flow.

A Shoutout to TXMMYBeats
None of this would have been possible without the incredible beat created by TXMMYBeats. "Medicate" is a mood, a vibe, a canvas for storytelling. If you’re a creator looking for inspiration, do yourself a favor and check out TXMMYBeats on BeatStars.

What This Means to Me
This feels like finding light in the darkness, rediscovering Source, and sharing your voice, even when it feels like no one’s listening.

Neuroplasticity is real.
Even as we age, our brains are capable of incredible growth if we’re willing to get out of the grooves we're in to create new paths. Even the process of creating new paths in our minds is a training of neuroplasticity in and of it'self. Learning how to learn is a skill.

Creativity is a lifeline.
Whether it’s writing, playing music, or chopping wood, staying connected to the things that bring us joy is essential.

Inspiration is everywhere.
I think I got to Harry Mack from Ren.
And from Harry Mack’s freestyles to TXMMYBeats’ production, the world is full of people who can spark something beautiful in us.

Looking Ahead
This is just the beginning. I’m excited to keep creating, to keep sharing, and to keep growing as an artist. That feels weird to write because what is an artist really? We're all artists in our own craft. I'm excited to deepen healing through songs, words, and touching people's hearts as mine has been.

I’d love to hear from you:

What inspires you to keep going when things get tough?
How do you stay connected to your creativity?
