Connected Waterways: People, Place, & Environment

Описание к видео Connected Waterways: People, Place, & Environment

Connected Waterways; People, Place, & Environment is an art show culminating the work of Cornell University students in a class title "The Art and Science of the Mohawk River Watershed." The show was exhibited in the Schoharie River Center's Cultural Hall summer 2024. The professor, Anna Davidson also worked on a piece with her students, scientists, and community members along the Mohawk that was a canoe covered in messages about the health, history, culture, and concerns for the Mohawk Watershed.

This video documents Anna Davidson's trip down the Mohawk and the Hudson with the canoe, leading to the capital, where it was on display in the Empire State Plaza for a week.

The Schoharie River Center was proud to partner with Anna and her students on this project. There work was on display here in the Watershed for the community to come and see. If you want to see the work online, you can visit their site here:

A few SRC staff members joined Anna and her father on her paddle down the Mohawk.
