Trevor's Story - Tenants' Experience - WDH Mental Health Navigator Scheme

Описание к видео Trevor's Story - Tenants' Experience - WDH Mental Health Navigator Scheme

Trevor's Story shares a tenant's experience of working with a Wakefield and District Housing Mental Health Navigator. Trevor's Story was made from a medley of quotes from different tenants to preserve anonymity.

Huge thanks to all tenants for sharing their stories, and to our actor John who was also part of our public advisory group for the project.

Many social housing tenants experience mental health issues, which can negatively impact on their tenancy and even result in eviction. A joined-up approach between mental health and housing services is needed to help maintain tenancies and secure housing stability.

Wakefield and District Housing (WDH) is a social housing provider who have operated a mental health navigation scheme for their tenants since 2015. Mental health professionals employed by the NHS but embedded within WDH provide specialist support to tenants, including advocacy, signposting and direct support.
