In April 2023, we lost Jolijn Santegoeds, a powerful voice in the field of human rights in mental health.

Today, on #HumanRightsDay, we honour Jolijn, a champion for a rights-based approach in #mentalhealth by unveiling this video.

We remember Jolijn’s dedicated efforts promoting a human rights-based approach in mental health care. Her tireless work to end coercion, seclusion and forced treatment in mental health services has left a mark.

Jolijn's active involvement and her fervent commitment to organisations such as EDF, ENUSP, WNUSP, and others, alongside her unwavering dedication to human rights in mental health, continues to serve as a beacon of inspiration for our work.
