Using Watercolor for FINE LINES - Painting WHISKERS

Using watercolor for fine lines, is a learnt skill, and is certainly needed for painting fine, realistic whiskers.

In this video, I share some tips and tricks for mixing the right consistency paint for painting fine lines. We then move on to testing the paints, before committing them to an actual painting. Whiskers are very often one of the last features to be added to a painting, and they lay over the top of everything you have already painted too. As such, there is a lot of pressure to get them right, as there's not really much going back.

Always try to start with the shorter whiskers, and leave the longer ones until you are feeling more confident with your brush strokes. Taking your time, and working cautiously will usually result in a shaky hand, and equally wobbly whiskers. So, always apply them confidently and in a single sweep of the brush if you can.

There is some scope for removing some whiskers, or at the very least, thin them down a bit. Look below for a link to that section of the video.
