About The Film :
Kanyadaan "कन्यादान" means donation of a girl child. It means that the father has handed over his daughter's hand to the groom. Kanyadaan is a matter of great fortune for every parent.

The story of the film Kanyadaan, starting with the promise of becoming a friend of two military friends, has been woven in the fabric of casteism prevailing in the hill society of Uttarakhand. In which a poor childless blacksmith couple meets the newborn girl of a upper caste family in the forest. In compulsion, the Lohar couple takes a tough decision to raise the girl in the hope that perhaps someone will come to pick up the girl. Time passes, the girl grows up and goes to school college, where she falls in love with a gentle boy and from here the poor Lohar couple get entangled in the terrible turn of casteist oppression. You will have to watch the whole film to see how this complicated mystery is solved.
