Basque performing live for the first day of New Friends Fest in Toronto, ON, alongside New Forms, Votive, Heavenly Blue, Knumears, Terry Green, Kid Feral, Vs. Self, Joliette & Jeromes Dream.

the mix is a bit Scuffed on this (i was standing a ways away from the PAs so the vocals are real weak in the mix, and my Zoom REALLY didn't like one of the effects pedals in the beginning) but Basque absolutely kicked ass and you absolutely NEED to catch them if they're playing your town sometime! very raw, passionate and experimental, the way all good screamo should be.

also: had a silly and wholesome experience w/ nate outside the venue where we were catching up, he pulled out a vinyl of the "Chuck Bass + Vi Som Älskade Varandra Så Mycket" split and asked me "do you fuck with swedish shit? wait. actually maybe i should find the actual swedish guys (kid, feral) and give it to them. eh, fuck it that's too much work." and just handed it to me. shoutout nate fr.
