This is Lecture 17 of our Class 9 Motion Chapter series. In this lecture, we will cover one of the most important topics of the Motion chapter – Equations of Motion and their Derivations. These equations are the backbone of Kinematics and are widely used in solving numerical problems in Class 9, Class 11, and competitive exams like JEE & NEET.
📌 What Are Equations of Motion?
Equations of motion are the three mathematical relations that connect the displacement (s), velocity (u & v), acceleration (a), and time (t) of a body moving with uniform acceleration.
The three equations are:
1️⃣ v = u + at → Final velocity after time t
2️⃣ s = ut + ½at² → Displacement in time t
3️⃣ v² – u² = 2as → Relation between velocities, acceleration, and displacement
