LIVE: Oldbury stabbing: boy, 13, knifed to death at house

A murder investigation is under way after a 13-year-old boy was stabbed to death at a house in the West Midlands, police said on Friday.

Officers were called to a property in Lovett Avenue, Oldbury, at about 4pm on Thursday by the ambulance service.

The 13-year-old was found with stab wounds and treated by paramedics but could not be saved.

Detective Superintendent Shaun Edwards, of West Midlands police, said: “It’s absolutely tragic a young life has been lost.

“We have specialist officers who will be supporting the family of the boy.
