Experiencing Prison Intake

Did you know the Bledsoe County Correctional Complex is the sole diagnostic center for all male offenders coming into the custody of the Tennessee Department of Correction? Yes! They average approximately 20 intakes a day! That means staff at BCCX are not only responsible for explaining TDOC policy and procedure, and helping them adjust to TDOC’s structure, but also classifying those offenders and providing them an efficient and effective case-plan to ensure the most is made of their time in TDOC’s custody. It’s a very in-depth process; one that is crucial to TDOC’s mission. In tonights #TDOCTalks, PIO Rob Reburn walks us through the whole process, talking with some of the officers and staff who have taken on this important responsibility.
