On 13th November, 2014 I was commissioned to produce a video of the Nuclear Institute's Young Generation Network Conference at Carlisle Race Course. In addition to filming the conference itself it was a great opportunity to record some additional projects featuring conversations with some key players in the nuclear industry. I filmed the 2013 conference too and the mood of people had changed dramatically within 12 months. The reason for this is that after decades of focusing on de-commissioning the industry is now looking forward to the construction of some new generating plants in the UK.
My NIYGN link at the conference was Anthony McGrath - a Core Committee Member and it was his job to find people who were prepared to sit in front of the camera and have a conversation about their careers, current roles and thoughts for the future of the industry. He did a brilliant job and just kept rolling them in front of me and we finished the day with 7 excellent conversations which provide an informative and uplifting backdrop for anyone who currently works in or is thinking about a career in the nuclear industry.
