During my campaign, I spoke with a young woman who has socially transitioned to living as a man after engaging with a radical activist organisation called The Proud Trust. In a deeply troubling moment, she told me she would rather be a dead man than look like a woman, a statement that reveals the profound psychological distress many young people are experiencing today.

Shortly after this conversation, I was approached by a father with his children. Rather than engaging calmly, he told his kids that I was “full of hate.” The children walked away visibly upset and began crying, a stark reminder of how adult ideological conflict is being absorbed by children.
