The opening ceremony of the seventh China International Import Expo, or CIIE, has taken place in east China's Shanghai. Chinese Premier Li Qiang attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. So far, business turnover of the first six CIIE has exceeded over $400 billion, and it has also set a new record with 297 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders attending the event this year. Premier Li Qiang said in his speech that China would keep its commitments, and abide by multilateral and bilateral economic and trade agreements. The CIIE is a platform for opening up with an inclusive world economy. That goes for New Zealand Trade and Agriculture Minister Todd McClay, who's leading a trade delegation to the expo, with almost 70 New Zealand companies. China is New Zealand's largest trading partner and largest export market. So, how important is the CIIE for New Zealand companies in building connections and selling their products? How can the CIIE serve as a bridge for cooperation and exchanges? On these and more, CGTN's Tian Wei talked to NZ Trade Minister McClay.
