Butterflies, bees and birds flock to a deer-protected plant and pond habitat, a haven for Ingrid and Doug Green. Since the vast property is home to deer, Doug built a pentagon-shaped enclosure to protect the floral food buffet from grazing deer. His artistic, pentagonal pond is a birdbath with edges for thirsty bees and lizards, along with pudding for butterflies. He dedicated it to his dad, Paul Green, a long time joyful garden mentor to many as a member of The Garden Club of Austin.
