Living the Classical Life traveled to Nuremberg Germany for a special conversation with distinguished pianist Lars Vogt (1970-2022), who at age 51 was fighting aggressive cancer. His passing one month later in September 5, 2022 adds poignance to his message of hope, and we mourn the loss of a beautiful human being. Courage in the face of an uncertain future is a life theme that resonates with all; he shares how he continued to play with limited strength, finding solace in the music of Johannes Brahms. The heart of the conversation is a contemplation of what is most important to us in our lives, and what to make of the gift of life. Full of lively and even humorous anecdotes, this is an episode unlike any we have had. Rest In Peace Lars—this was his final interview. Running time 48 minutes.

Episode 94 • Filmed July 23, 2022 in Nürnberg Germany • Video: www.katalog-film.de
