Beetroot Amla Tikki with Walnut Chutney

Portions serving: 4-5
Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 40 mins
Calories: 64 kcal per portion

Ingredients:

Beetroot grated 1 ½ cup
Oil 3 tbsp
Jeera 1 tbsp
Saunf 1 tbsp
Green chillies chopped 1 tbsp
Ginger chopped 1 tsp
Kalonji 1 tsp
Avla sliced ½ cup
Hing ½ tsp
Salt 1 tbsp
Red chilli powder 2 tsp
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Amchur powder 1 tsp
Garam masala 1 tsp
Kitchen king masala ½ tbsp
Roasted chana powder 2 tbsp
Refined flour 1 tbsp
Breadcrumbs ½ cup

Walnut chutney
Walnuts 3 tbsp
Green chillies 3 pcs
Mint leaves 2 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Curd ¼ cup

Method:

Heat a pan, add oil, jeera, saunf and let it crackle.
Add chopped green chilli, kalonji and saute it.
Then add hing, sliced awla and saute.
Add some water, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric and cook until awla gets cooked.
Add amchur powder and mix it. Add some water, cook if needed and keep it aside.
Heat another pan, add oil, boiled potato and shallow fry them until it gets golden brown in colour. Remove it on a plate and keep aside.
Heat some oil in a pan, add jeera, saunf, chopped green chilies, chopped ginger and saute them.
Later add grated beetroot, salt, red chilli powder, garam masala, kitchen king masala and mix it. Cook for 5-6 mins or until the beetroot gets softened.
Take a bowl, add shallow fried potato, beetroot mixture, roasted chana powder and mix them well. Crush the fried potato for good binding.
Take some mixture of beetroot, stuff it with amla mixture, seal it and roll it to a thick flat round circle.
Deep this to refined flour thin slurry, transfer it to bread crumbs and coat it on all the sides.
Shallow fry them on a tava on a medium flame for 5-6 mins. Cook it from both the sides and once done, remove it on a plate.
On the other side, in a mixer jar, add walnuts, green chillies, salt, mint leaves, curd and make a fine chutney.
Serve hot beetroot amla tikkis with walnut chutney.
