The craziest play I've EVER seen in 2,000 MLB games

This was BEYOND strange, and it was scary as hell -- and I've never seen anything like this. It all started with one out in the bottom of the 4th inning when Jeff McNeil stole second base. The only problem was that Francisco Lindor was already ON 2nd base and he hadn't started running, so he was forces to take off for 3rd. Now get this . . . for some reason the catcher had thrown the ball to 1st base, and when the 1st baseman fired it across the diamond to nail Lindor at 3rd, the ball hit Angels pitcher Chase Silseth on the side of the head. He stumbled toward 3rd base and went DOWN, and meanwhile the ball had ricocheted into foul territory, so Lindor raced home and scored. After all of that, players and trainers for both teams gathered around the injured pitcher, and that's when the thumbnail image was taken. Seriously, WTF!!!

Thankfully Silseth was able to walk off the field with some help, and thankfully Mets slugger Pete Alonso was okay several innings later after getting drilled by a pitch on the back of the neck! There was something weird in the air at Citi Field, but ultimately everything seemed alright.

As for me, I had a great time catching baseballs during BP, including an epic snag on a home run ball in the second deck. I ran to my left for that one and jumped down over TWO rows of seats (one at a time) while the ball was in mid-air. And then just before game time, I got a ball thrown to me by Angels catcher Logan O'Hoppe whom I've known since his time in the minor leagues. He and I played catch last year when he was in Double-A with the Reading Fightin Phils. Here's that video in case you wanna check it out:

But okay, as for the new video from Citi Field featuring Shohei Ohtani, it was filmed on August 26, 2023 by Rachel Messbauer, and it was edited by Zac Gutherman (@zg_films). Thanks for watching, please subscribe, and get ready for some Kansas City Royals action coming next!
