Embarking on a road trip from Jalkhad to Babusar Top and then descending toward Astore is like driving through a postcard — every turn reveals raw, untouched beauty.
We start our journey in Jalkhad, a peaceful valley tucked along the Naran–Babusar Road. As the car moves forward, winding roads hug lush green meadows and a sparkling river flows beside us, fed by glaciers. The cool mountain breeze rushes in through the windows, and pine-covered hills stretch out in every direction.
As we ascend toward Babusar Top (elevation 13,690 ft), the road becomes more thrilling. Sharp bends, narrow passes, and sudden drops make the drive adventurous but rewarding. On the way, you’ll spot grazing sheep, nomadic camps, and snow patches even in summer. As we approach the top, the air gets thinner, the temperature drops, and the views become surreal.
At Babusar Top, you're greeted with a panoramic view of surrounding peaks and valleys — clouds often brush the ground, and the silence is only broken by the wind. It’s a perfect spot to stop, stretch, and soak in the grandeur of nature.
From there, we begin the descent toward Astore. The terrain changes — more rugged, wild, and raw. The road narrows, and the views become steeper and more dramatic. Streams cut across the road, rocky cliffs tower above, and waterfalls cascade down mossy slopes.
The route into Astore Valley is serene and cinematic. As the car winds into the valley, you enter a land of peace — alpine forests, wooden bridges, terraced fields, and distant villages welcome you. Astore is a hidden gem with natural charm and cultural richness. People are welcoming, and the air feels sacred.
Whether you’re seeking adventure, spirituality, or scenic peace — this road trip offers it all. It’s a drive that etches itself into memory.
