The Society is immensely proud to announce that our new regional office in Tiverton is open!

Our ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by the Society's Executive Board and local dignitaries like Minister of Rural Affairs Lisa Thompson, Saugeen Shores Mayor Luke Charbonneau and Kincardine Mayor Kenneth Craig.
Beyond the Bruce Local’s work, the office will be used to support delegate and membership training for many of our other Society Locals. We will open our doors to other Local labour groups like the Grey Bruce Labour Council. And it will be used as a classroom for the Saugeen Sparks training and development program.

We are really excited for this to be a real community hub.

We are proud to be announcing donations from the Society on behalf of the Bruce Local to two very deserving local programs: the Saugeen Shores Aquatic and Wellness Centre, and Support Ontario Youth. The Centre will be a state-of-the-art fitness and wellness centre that will serve as regional recreational hub. And Support Ontario Youth is a wonderful program that helps young people find a pathway from apprenticeship to badly needed jobs in the skilled trades.

With these donations our Society Bruce Local will have reached a significant milestone. We are proud to announce that the Society, through the Bruce Local, has made more than 2.5 million dollars in charitable contributions to this community since 2010.

We are extremely proud of our union’s tradition of giving back to the communities in which we live and work. Today’s announcement are another step in that journey of giving back.
