GI44-45 Living history group showcase their impression of "The Ghost Army". In the best traditions of the 23rd HQ Special Troops our Living history group kept all photographs of their new impression strictly under wraps during the course of 2014. Constructing our own fake sherman tank was a massive piece of work. Trowbridge in June 2014 was going to be a chance for us to test the waters with an impression that probably hasn't been undertaken on this scale by any living history group before. It proved to be an education, for the public, and us. The public didn't have a clue about the existence of such a unit, and for us it underlined the importance of paying homage to units whose tale is not often known about or told. We will continue to build on our impression of the 23rd HQ Special troops , proud to be involved in highlighting the important work this unit undertook from the moment it landed in Normandy to the end of WW2.
