It will be quiet confusing and stress out especially if you just started off building your channel.as long as you follow everything in this video , you will get it done .
Go to your youtube channel , click on customize channel .click on add channel art.
So the recommended channel art size is 2560X1440
.Now for those that not familiar with design it will be quiet hard to design something based on this measurement . So I highly recommended you to go canva.com which is a free services that able to help you to design your youtube channel art within couple of minutes.

Type on youtube on this search box ,choose the first one , youtube channel art.
They are a huge range of template for you to choose from , not all is free , but the free template is already more than enough for us to choose from.
Just pick any design that you like.
Click on use this template.

Now , the thing that you need to remember is that , these channel art is part of your brand .It reflects to what is your business about.
Second , it sent show people that visit your channel what is your channel about , what can they learn.

So , whatever you going to write on your channel art make sure that it is direct , sweet and short.

So remember keep things short and sweet

So , you can upload your own photos to canva , I just gonna use my own photo , and you also can use what is provided by canva as well .
When you are done click on download.

Lets drag and upload it.so ,as you can see they are 3 version , desktop ,tv and mobile.Make sure that your image fit nicely into these 3 devices.
You can adjust the crop to make it fits.when you are done just click on select.

Well , this is definitely not the best channel art. Put sometime on thinking what value you want to deliver to your audience before work on your youtube channel image.

Next we are going to change our youtube profile photo.
Go back to canva, select logo.
Same thing here , keep your logo simple ,I will not recommend you to put any words on it , if it is not necessary , as it will not show nicely since it is just a small imgae.
There are plenty of template that you can start from .just choose whichever that you like .
So ,same thing , I will put my head as a logo.have a quick edit .WHen done downlaod it.
Back to our youtube channel , click on this pen icon .
Due to the fact that ,youtube and google is join together , so in order to change the profile on youtbe , you need to change it on google itself.click on the camera logo and drag and drop the image that you downloaded just now

Back to your channel and refresh.ok , there you go , this is how you design your YouTube Channel Art & Profile Icon
