Celebrating the big halfway milestone today - 1098.7 miles! Riley and I hiked 11.9 miles into Pine Grove Furnace State Park and met my parents at the Pine Grove General Store for the half gallon challenge. Although I almost finished eating the initial tub of ice cream, I did not meet the challenge which requires an additional pint to total 1/2 gallon. Afterwards we hiked another 4.5 miles to our campsite for the night (mile 1109.8, 16.3 miles total).
