Half Lap of Australia: Episode 7 - The Kimberley Adventure Begins! 🌟🚐

Welcome back to our Half Lap of Australia series! In this episode, join us—Megan, Stuey, Evelyn, and Thea—as we dive into the breathtaking beauty of the Kimberley region in Western Australia. Plus, Stuey's parents are along for the ride!

Day 20:
We kicked off the day with the quintessential photo at the Gibb River Road sign before heading to Emma Gorge. This track proved to be a challenge for our girls but was incredibly rewarding with its dazzling waterfalls. Be sure to watch out for the Cane Toad—yuck! After a series of thrilling water crossings, we set up camp for the night at El Questro Station. For those curious about family camping, I give a quick walkthrough of how we set up with our two girls.

Day 21:
The day kicked off with more water crossings as we visited the incredible Zebedee Springs. These hot springs quickly became one of our top picks, with clear, warm water and beautiful palms creating the perfect setting for a refreshing swim. We couldn’t miss crossing the iconic Pentecost River on the Gibb River Road, even though we weren’t traveling the entire route. We also stopped at Home Valley Station for lunch before a quick look at the El Questro Gorge crossing, which was a bit too deep for comfort. In the late afternoon, we ventured down a 4WD track to Pigeon Hole Lookout (spot the spelling mistake in the video!) and were rewarded with an amazing view.

Day 22:
Before heading to Purnululu National Park, we had to return to Zebedee Springs for another morning swim—because why not?
