Beitrag von Eszter Bánffy, Professorin für prähistorische Archäologie mit einer Spezialisierung im Neolithikum Europas. Seit 2013 ist sie Direktorin der Römisch-Germanischen Kommission des DAI und seit 2021 Präsidentin der
European Association of Archaeologists, deren „Statement on Archaeology and Climate Change“ sie in diesem Beitrag vorstellt und mit einem Ausblick auf die Forschungsprojekte des Groundcheck-Programms verknüpft.

Contribution by Eszter Bánffy, professor of Prehistoric Archaeology with a specialization in the Neolithic of Europe. Since 2013 she has been Director of the Römisch-Germanische Kommission of the DAI and since 2021 president of the European Association of Archaeologists (EAA). In her presentation she recollects the EAA's 2021 "Statement on Archaeology and Climate Change" and links it with an outlook on the research projects of the
Groundcheck program.
