Metagaming in Roleplaying Games

Metagaming in Roleplaying Games, like Dungeons and Dragons, is talked about in very specific and hard line terms, but most people don't realize the in depth details of it. It's always framed as an argument about whether a player knows something the character does not, but it is so much more. DnD hardliners are on all sides. I wanted to break through that and go into the nuance of metagaming as a player, character, and dungeon master.
