📘 ✨ Adjustments Explained

1) Books ₹50,000, Furniture ₹6,500, Machinery ₹30,000

1st Effect: Show all three as Assets in the Balance Sheet.
2nd Effect: Use these values to compute depreciation


2) Subscription Received in Advance ₹500

1st Effect: Deduct ₹500 from Subscription Income.
2nd Effect: Show ₹500 as Liability (Subscription Received in Advance).


3) Outstanding Salaries ₹1,300 and Outstanding Rent ₹950

1st Effect: Add both amounts to their respective expenses.
2nd Effect: Show both as Liabilities in the Balance Sheet.


4) 50% of Admission Fees to be Capitalized

1st Effect: Add 50% of Admission Fees to Capital Fund.
2nd Effect: Treat remaining 50% as Revenue Income.


5) Furniture Depreciation @10%

1st Effect: Charge 10% Depreciation as an Expense.
2nd Effect: Reduce Furniture value by the depreciation amount.


6) Library Books Depreciation @10%

1st Effect: Charge 10% Depreciation on Books as an Expense.
2nd Effect: Reduce Library Books value in the Balance Sheet.


7) Investments purchased on 01-04-2019 @20% Interest

1st Effect: Add full-year Interest Income at 20%.
2nd Effect: Show Investments as an Asset in the Balance Sheet.
